100 Days to Chicago - Des Plaines River Path

Every year, all of our time, hard work, and consistency in training accumulates toward race day, and the Chicago Marathon is touted as one of those hallmarks that we work toward, set in a special city that we aim to race in when we’re ready to go fast.

As the date inches closer on our calendars, Tracksmith, along with our friends at DW Running and Nameless Track Club, is proud to be a resource for runners, providing a community where we can share the work, celebrate the journey, and prepare for race day. In our 100 Days long run training, we do our best to bring you everything that you need to be successful, guiding you in runs that take you all the way to the starting line in Millennium Park.

For each run doors will open at 7am before we gather to go over the route and start our run at 7:30 sharp. Routes are designed to easily add or shorten distance, and we'll have pacers helping guide you every step of the way. We will also provide regular water stations to help beat the heat during these hot summer months. Stick around after each run to connect with the local Tracksmith community, enjoy bagels, donuts, and coffee, and sort any lingering issues with our on-site sports chiros from Optimal Performance.

This week, meet us at Potawatomi Woods Picnic Grove as we get ready for our longest 100 Days run of the year. We'll be running a double out 'n back on the Des Plaines River Path for a total of 20 miles. As always, we'll have many options to shorten the route, but if you need company for those long miles, you'll find it here.
