Community & Events Marketing Manager
Location: Boston

Tracksmith is seeking a highly motivated individual and experienced community builder to lead our Boston running community. As a member of our community team, you will lead all community programs and initiatives that run out of Boston. This role requires creativity, a love of the sport, great interpersonal skills, and a willingness to hustle. A strong background in coaching and/or working with runners is a plus. This role will require some evening and weekend shifts. This role will work closely with the Tracksmith Community & Retail Teams and report directly to the Director of Retail.

Responsibilities:

Event Activation Support:

  • Plan and execute event activations, including community runs, retail pop-ups, product demos, and other marketing events.

  • Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, setup, signage, materials, and equipment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth event execution, including sales, marketing, and creative teams.

  • Assist in managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and reporting on event performance.

  • Maximize sales, develop customer relationships, and ensure a positive customer experience.

Retail Support:

  • Work closely with the retail team to support in-store marketing initiatives and product launches.

  • Coordinate retail merchandising efforts, ensuring brand consistency.

  • Assist in the development of retail marketing materials, such as point-of-sale displays, signage, and promotional collateral.

  • Follow internal processes and procedures to restock product and samples as needed to support event activations.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with event vendors, suppliers, and retail partners.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all activations.

  • Provide ongoing support and communication to retail partners, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that arise.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze data from events and retail initiatives to measure their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepare post-event reports, including key metrics, insights, and recommendations for future events and retail campaigns.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities related to event marketing and retail, providing insights and recommendations to the team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in field sales, marketing, event management, or retail coordination is highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Google Office Suite.

  • Experience with Shopify.

  • Willingness to travel to support event activations throughout the United States.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.

  • Clean driving record. Must be willing to authorize a motor vehicle record background check.

The annual salary for this role is expected to be between $60,000 and $80,000 depending on a combination of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and industry knowledge.
