The Eliot Range is innovated for the challenge and treasure that is trail running.
The trail shoe is built with the same Amateur-approved construction as the Runner, a multi-part system combining supercritical foam with a protective and propulsive injected nylon plate that puts high energy return right underfoot for a stable and snappy feel. Inside, a built-in Merino wool bootie delivers long-lasting comfort through changing conditions, while outside, a lightweight, breathable upper provides a durable shell. It’s complete with a rugged Vibram XS Trek Evo rubber outsole for trail-worthy traction.

- Care: If your shoes become dirty from from wear, we’d recommend the following steps:
- Unlace and open up the shoe
- Remove the insoles
- Rinse thoroughly with water only
- Pack with paper
- Remove wet paper and repeat
- Air dry
- The Eliot Range fits similarly to the Runner – only evolved for the unpredictability of trail running. The liner provides a snug fit to both maximize comfort and keep your foot seamlessly shielded from debris.
Elevated Energy Return
Like the Runner and the Racer, the Eliot Range promises a responsive ride, with excellent energy return as a result of triple-thick Pebax® cushioning atop an injected nylon plate. The combination increases propulsion, which in turn reduces fatigue so you can move onward and upward for miles on end. Plus, the rigid plate acts as a barrier beneath the foot to protect you from gravel, rocks and debris as you run the rugged routes.
Natural Performance
When we approached the design, we leaned into the most technical elements of our apparel, seeking out solutions for footwear that could take on dynamic terrain. It was the perfect argument to integrate the natural performance fiber from our best-selling Brighton Base Layer – Merino wool. From heel to toe, Merino lines the woven shell and creates a comfortable collar around the ankle, acting as a temperature-regulating, odor-resistant “bootie” that boasts comfort and longevity.
Rugged Vibram® Traction
A Vibram XS Trek Evo rubber outsole provides trail-worthy traction and tenacity, crafted from a compound that promotes multi-surface grip in unpredictable conditions. Durable enough to handle anything from gravel roads to slick singletrack, the outsole is built for stability and comfort with a custom lug pattern that’s designed for the surfaces we know and love in New England.
